Favorite Makeup Products

I naturally, have dry skin. If I don’t religiously slather my face with moisturizer, I will be patchy and flaky the next day. Since moving to SoCal, I have had to up my moisturizing game with this desert air. On top of being dry, my skin is very sensitive when it comes to certain products and can become red and inflamed easily. I have tried SO many products at this point. So, through years of trial and error, I have compiled my favorites. Obviously, everyones skin and face is different, but this is what works for me!

Foundation, Concealer, and Powder:

Too Faced: Born This Way (Nude): I am needing to buy my correct color now that I’m tanner living in SoCal but I do really love to coverage this foundation gives, plus it lasts all day which is something I look for.

Maybelline: Fit Me (225 Medium Buff): Although drug store, I have been wearing this foundation everyday for a while! I think the coverage is comparable to the (FILL) but for half the price. I think I bought this at Walmart right before a family vacation and fell in love. We were camping on the beach and I needed something that would provide me coverage with out being high maintenance. Its perfect for someone on the go.

Urban Decay, Naked Skin: I love the creaminess of this concealer. It provides me with incredible coverage and lasts all day. Over all, my dark circles are covered with no problems. Recently, I have been layering two concealers to get to perfect color since my move to SoCal. (Love being tan but it has thrown off all my color matches!)

Mac, Pro Long Wear : I have been using this product for years and a little bottle goes a long way. I only use a pea sized amount and have all the coverage I need! Truly a miracle worker. I add this on top of my Naked Skin and blend everything in with a damp beauty blender.

Laura Mercier: Translucent Loose Setting Powder: I have no idea how I went so long with out this in my life. I really don’t like the sticky dewey feeling on my face and this takes that all away. It also is AMAZING at brightening up my under eye. I will buy this over and over again.

Bronzer:

Benefit Hoola Bronzer: This is by far, the best bronzer I have owned. It’s very pigmented so use a light hand but it always gives me the perfect, natural and healthy glow. It’s also the perfect crease color. I love when a product has multiple uses.

Lips:

Nars, Satin Lip Pencil (Rikugien): This is my all time favorite lip product. It’s perfect for a natural lip but can also be used for a full face. I combine it with my favorite gloss and I am good to go!

Boxom, Full on Lip Cream (White Russian): I normally am not a fan of lip plumping products and have tried to stay away from menthol since my detox from burts bees, but this is still something I can’t put down. Not too minty that it’s overwhelming. I wouldn’t say I notice my lips any plumper but I absolutely adore the color! Especially when I put it on top of my Nars pencil.

Eyes:

I have slightly hooded eyelids, so my eye routine is pretty much the same thing everyday with slight variations.

The Balm Voyage vol. II (Willkommen): It’s such a warm, beautiful crease color. I love how easy it is to blend and is definitely buildable. I’ll just add it to my crease for an everyday look or deepen it in the corners with some eyeliner for a date night. It has a little shimmer but it’s very subtle.

Gerard Cosmetics, (Grace): There is nothing I love better than a product that can be used for more than one thing. This highlighter was given to me as a gift and it was love at first use. I use the color Grace for an all over lid color. It’s brightens and adds shine.

As always, if you have any questions about what I use, or just in general, feel free to reach out!

xoxo
